RACE INSTRUCTIONS
The Crediton Crunch 10K is a multi- terrain run approximately 10K long which is 90% off road ~ general footpaths, mowed grassland, private parkland and quiet country roads. Most of the first half of the run will be on the Devonshire Heartland Way.
We would recommend trail shoes for this event.

RACE HQ
Race HQ is at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, Commercial Road, Crediton, EX17 1ER and will be open to competitors from 8-30am for number collection and bag drop.
You will need to collect your race number on the day so please arrive at Race HQ in plenty of time. Please pin your race number securely to the front of your running top ensuring you complete the details on the reverse of the number
MARSHALLS
All marshals will be provided by the fantastic Crediton Running Network who will be strategically placed around the course to direct and encourage you.

There will be LIMITED parking available at the Leisure Centre in the overflow car-park – stewards will be on hand to advise you.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
By entering this race, I accept the following terms on behalf of myself and those whom I am entering:
The race will be held under UK Athletics rules
Entrants must follow the rules and obey Marshalls directions at all times.
Marshalls and medics on the course have the
authority to disqualify and remove any runner they consider to be acting dangerously, or to be unfit to compete
Runners must be 15 years or older on race date
Any runner who is found to compete in another person’s race number will be disqualified.
No refunds can be given if the race has to be cancelled or postponed due to circumstances outside the race organisers
control
You will be allowed to transfer your entry to another runner – this can be done via your SiEntries account up to the
event cut off on 03/05/2024.
No deferrals or refunds are available.
The race organisers, sponsors, charities, suppliers, and/ or their agents will not be liable for any injury, loss, or expense
which may arise in consequence of your participation in this event save as to negligence.
All runners are required to complete the requested details on the back of their race number. If you suffer from any form
of medical condition, please give brief details and confirm any medication you take on the reverse of your number
No prams, buggies, or dogs allowed
Ear headphones that may prevent the runner from being aware of what is happening around them are NOT allowed.
Marshals will be checking compliance with this rule and anyone seen wearing headphones (excluding bone conductor
headphones) will be disqualified and excluded from the results.

THE COURSE
The route, will begin with a lap of the perimeter of the rugby pitch opposite LMLC turning left on to the footpath between the football pitches and Willow Walk.
You will then run across one field and the bridge over the River Creedy turning right on to the footpath alongside the NE bank of the river, continuing along the footpaths to the lane near Westacott and turning right.
Continue for 200m along the lane to a footpath on the left.
Ascend the hill by the footpath, emerging on to the lane that runs between Shobrooke Cross and Camps Cross. Turn right along the lane, and then after 150m, turn left onto a footpath across two fields to emerge on to Wyke Hill.
Turn right along the lane to Shobrooke Mill where the Water Station will be situated (Halfway point).
Turning left at the Mill, run along the path through the woodland and cross the small bridge across the stream known as Shobrooke Lake, and then run through the fields initially running approx. 0.7 km north and then 0.7 km west towards Shobrooke Barton and Church. (You should pass the tree with the rope swing during this section.)
Emerge on to Church Lane and follow the lane south, then west to the road near the war memorial entering Shobrooke Park by the top gate.
Run down the avenue of trees to the track near South Lodge turning left on to the road by the park gate adjacent to South Lodge.
Cross the road and run down the lane towards Westacott.
Turn right onto the footpath used on the way out and return to the rugby pitch opposite LMLC by way of the first part of the route bearing right and finishing half way around the pitch.
