SWRR VI Guide Running Support
South West Road Runners currently has four qualified Guides to assist any sight impaired adults who already run or are thinking about taking up running.
The club has connections with coaches who run ‘couch to 5k’ sessions, which is the natural progression for people who want to take up running.
We have both male and female SI Guides aged between 40 and 60 who run at different paces.
All have
- Completed the England Athletics Sight Loss Awareness and Guide Running Workshop
- Current DBS clearance.
- Completed the relevant Safeguarding training.
We are Exeter based , but will support VI people who live nearby within a reasonable distance from our base.
You can find further advice from British Blind Sport on their website
