There are 24 races spread across the year, from February to November. To qualify, men need to complete at least 7 events, ladies 5. If you complete more than the required number, your best results count. Only races which you run as a member of the club will count. In the men's championship there is no longer a requirement to complete a set number of road and off-road races, just 7 races overall. Scores are calculated by entering your times into RaceMaster98 (running software), which will produce age-graded scores. Your dates of birth are obtained from the membership list. Because off-road events are more difficult, they are weighted by overstating the distance of each course to produce scores which are similar overall. If you are particularly strong at running off-road, you should score well at these races. Any questions, please ask me!
