BROADCLYST BIMBLE 2006Well, It had to happen sooner or later. A marshal sent everyone the wrong way towards Paradise Copse. This meant that runners approached all the course markings from the wrong side. The result was confusion. It also meant that the next marshal along the course was faced first with runners approaching from the wrong direction, then from all directions! I, as Race Co-Ordinator heard about this over my mobile, but there was little we could do at this stage in the race. So a big sorry from the South West Road Runners. That said, it appears not to have spoilt most people’s day, which shows what a great load of sportsmen and women you all are. Congratulations on everyone finding the finish. For the two people who left pairs of very nice shoes, please give me a ring (01392 881711) and tell me the make and I’ll get them back to you. To the runner who threw down a pair of gloves on the course, a marshal brought them in, so give me a ring and you can also have them back.
